So although I ate really well the first part of the week, and not so well the last... I still lost 3 pounds! I'm super excited! My BMI is 27.7. My goal this week is to continue to try to eat well and keep up the water intake. Thanks for all the comments. You guys...I mean girls...are really helping with the motivation factor!

Go Megan!! I'm starting week 3 right now. The eating factor does get easier...although I'm not quite as hard core as you. When you work out it seems like healthier foods appeal more. Keep it up!!! -cheryl
Way to go!!! I'm so jealous. My motivation is at a three right now, but heading uphill as I re-adjust to non-vacation life :) Let us know if there are any recipes/foods that are helping you!
Honestly the food that's helping me to get off to a great start each morning is oatmeal. Yeah I know it sounds blah, but its a powerhouse of nutrition. As soon as my workout is done in the morning, I turn on the kettle for the water. I measure out a half cup of oats and put it in the bowl. When the water is done I put 1 cup in cover it with a plate and go take my shower. It only takes 10 minutes tops to cook like that. I top mine with a tablespoon of bee pollen and 2 tablespoons of ground flaxseed. That's it if I'm really on my game. If I want a little more something, I sprinkle on some wheat germ, or berries, or agave nectar, or whatever I want. Oatmeal...eat some!
bee pollen? I was thinking at least bee honey....I like to load mine with brown sugar :) But then again, I probably might as well just have a bowl of coco puffs. I have a tub of quaker oats I need to use up. Ok, I 'll give it a try. And I'll try not to put too much brown sugar on it :)
Yes Bee Pollen! I know it sounds wierd but its a highly bioactive source of multi-vitamins, minerals, carotenoids, bioflavonoids, phytosterols, amino acids, fatty acids, enzymes and more. It's super good for you.
And trust me, I used to load mine with brown sugar and butter! That sounds so completely unhealthy to me now. I think I would feel worse if I ate it that way now, than eating a pan of brownies! ;o)
Okay so yesterday I decided to try a new recipe for "Breakfast in a Blender" It was delicious, VERY filling and completely healthy. Later when I went to record my meal in my food journal I looked up the nutrition facts for it, and OOPS!!! It was 4 servings!!! No wonder it filled me up for so long! ;o) I didn't even eat my mid-morning snack I was so full! So 1100 calories later...
I tried to be good the rest of the day to compensate and had a dinner of 109 calories. It was a Morning Star veggie sausage patty and tons of zucchini and green beans. It was delicious and filling too. I was surprised for only 109 calories.
I went back to oatmeal this morning. I decided to play it safe and not experiment today, because of yesterday, and because I'm going to a "dessert baby shower" tonight.
Heaven give me strength!
